DoppelCart: a fake shop network

DoppelCart is our name for a network of more than a hundred thousand
near-identical shops. Each copies a real brand's photos and page text, then undercuts its
prices. Each also republishes the brand's own support address, so the people who get
charged complain to the brand, not the shop.

About the dataset
This is the public evidence record behind nebty's DoppelCart investigation. A confirmed member shares the network's infrastructure and recurring shop software characteristics. The classification does not mean that every shop was reachable at the same time or that every page was reviewed manually.
Brand names are attributed from captured page titles and support addresses, with the source and confidence shown on each entry. Shared technical characteristics do not by themselves establish that every shop is controlled by the same person or organisation. The record may be expanded or corrected as new evidence becomes available.
